Abstract

The article is dedicated to the memory of the famous Ukrainian scientist, Doctor of Geological Sciences,Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Petro Feodosiyovych Gozhyk, contribution of a scientist to the development of geological science in Ukraine, in the study of paleontology and geology of the seas and oceans, the role of his personality in the creation of the Ukrainian Antarctic Center and the formation of Ukraine as "Antarctic In a brief review of the scientific activities and scientific heritage of the academician P.F. Gozhik summarized published materials and his own memories of Peter Feodosiyovych.
