Abstract

Gordeev Anton Yuriyovych - Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Deputy Director for Research of the State Institution "Scientific Hydrophysical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine",
specialist in oceanography and marine cartography, a full member of the Ukrainian Geographical Society. One of the organizers of the first Antarctic expedition to the station "Faraday", which later received the modern name "Academician Vernadsky".
He created a system of marine cartography in Ukraine and was the first director of the State Research and Production Enterprise "Ukrmorkartografiya". Organizer and participant in scientific marine and river oceanographic research.
